We are very delighted that you have shown interest in our enterprise. Data protection is of a particularly high priority for us. The use of the Internet pages of the MAPEGY GmbH is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website or products, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the data subject.

As the controller, the MAPEGY GmbH has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.

1. Collection and processing of your data

1.1 You can, as a basic principle, visit our general website as well as first features of the “MAPEGY.SCOUT” without giving any details as to your person (Personally Identifiable Information (PII)).

1.2 A pre-requisite of the use of our online APPLICATIONS or SERVICES with its full feature range, in particular the “MAPEGY.SCOUT” and/or “MAPEGY.RADAR, hereinafter referred to as “MAPEGY Services”, is registration, which requires the following details to be entered: Session ID, First name, Last name and Email. Details above and beyond these are non-obligatory details and are marked as such.

1.3 In the case of payments by means of credit cards, the Customer’s credit card data will be requested only over the telephone, and only stored for recurring purchases in encoded form with the credit card processing company selected by MAPEGY.

1.4 This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable you to carry out an analysis of the use of the website. The information obtained through the cookie concerning your use of this website will be typically transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. MAPEGY activated the option for IP address anonymization provided by Google. In consequence your IP address will be shortened by the last 8 bits within countries, which are member of the European Union or in other contracting countries of the European Economic Area (EEA). Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information in order to evaluate your use of the website so as to compile reports concerning the website activities and in order to render further services associated with the website use and the Internet use for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser for the use of Google Analytics will not be brought into connection with other data of Google.

You may prevent the storage of the cookies through a corresponding setting of your browser software; nevertheless we draw your attention to the fact that in this case you may possibly not be able to use all functions of this website to the full extent.

1.5 For system- and product related purposes, when the APPLICATIONS or SERVICES are used, MAPEGY furthermore stores data by means of session-cookies.

1.6 For MAPEGY’s customer relationship management related purposes solely, products and services provided by Infusionsoft and HubSpot (https://www.hubspot.com) are used. Both services comply with the GDPR). These systems also store cookies on the users computer in order to analyze the use of our website. Users remain anonymous unless the user has provided personal information through the submission of a form. All information we collect are subject of this privacy policy.

1.7 We offer the opportunity to engage in public activities on https://www.mapegy.com/ through commenting. Comments made on this site are pending approval from administrators before being made public. Pending comments are stored as cookies on the client’s side and can be deleted by the client. Approved comments are public and stored in the Wordpress database. These can be deleted on request by the site administrator. Should you choose to engage in commenting your personal information (user name or ID) will be made public. In addition, Wordpress will store your name, email and IP address; this information can be deleted on request. We are not responsible for any personal information you choose to make public through your public activities on this site.

2. Use and passing on of your data

2.1 MAPEGY may use the data provided by you in our contact forms (obligatory fields: First name, Last name, Email; optional fields: Phone, Company, Job title, Message) to only answer your questions and/or perform the obligations of the contract and for purposes of the technical administration of our products and services. Data is collected and processed also by external IT service providers on our behalf, in specific Infusionsoft and/or Hubspot, solely for communication, marketing and key account management purposes. Users remain anonymous unless the user has provided personal information and consent through the submission of a form. We use the submitted data to get in touch with interested website visitors and understand which use cases are of interest (Infusionsoft) and pursue key account management (Hubspot). All information we collect are subject of this privacy policy.

2.2 If you register for our newsletter we will, only with your expressed consent, use the data provided by you in order to send you our newsletter. When sending the newsletters, we use your e-mail address. The newsletter contains current information about our product updates as well information about and offers of MAPEGY. The newsletter is sent out regularly, but not more often than fortnightly. Unsubscription is possible at all times.

3. Location of data

3.1 If you use our MAPEGY Services which are offered online all of your data related to MAPEGY own applications and features is being stored and processed within Europe, in specific in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

3.2 Marketing and communication related data processed by third party tools mentioned above (in specific Google, Hubspot and Infusionsoft) are being stored in the US.

4. Right of objection

Of course, you may at any time object or revoke your consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes and the creation of pseudonymous user profiles for the purpose of continuous improvement of MAPEGY’s Services. This does not, however, apply for the data necessary for the fulfilment of the contractual relationship. In this respect, please contact office@mapegy.com.

5. Data security and infrastructure

5.1 Your personal data will be transmitted using SSL encryption (AES, 256 bit certificate) via Internet when you use our APPLICATIONS and SERVICES which are subject to charge. You can recognize the secure transmission from the protocol designation “https://” in the URL line.

5.2 We use commercially reasonable efforts to secure our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. For additional information on MAPEGY’s systems and network security, we refer to our information sheet concerning IT and data security, which you can request from us.

5.3 The access to your user account is only possible after entering your personal password. You should at all times treat your access information confidentially and close the browser window when you have ended your communication with us, in particular if you use the computer jointly with other persons.

6. Information, correction, blocking, deletion

Under the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz [Federal Data Protection Act] you have the right to receive information free of charge concerning your stored data and also, where appropriate, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data.
